Before I met Ste, he had taken a much needed year out in Australia. He moved to Sydney and with the flying fish company he completed his bronze medallion and became a surf lifesaver. He told me that during the trip to Australia he truely changed, realising what he wanted out of life. He spent time travelling,flying, surfing, meeting new friends and his then girlfriend, Rachael. He finally returned to the UK in 2005, with a dream to return to Australia in the future.
